Woah!
Chilly morning, temps in the 50s.
Feels goooood, just a big change from the weather in the past week.

Coffee's ready, Cinnamon buns gone.
Man, ....a scrapple & egg sammich sure would taste good right now.

Little bit o work on the "list" so far, should be a good day.
But then any day that I wake up on the upside of the grass is a good day.

Y'all B safe,

Still recovering ... watching the NWS radar track the storms moving in, lotta rain and lightening here in a little bit. Scheduled to go to the range this morning, but I dont think we'll be shooting today.
Well, at least I know my sump pump works!!!
Momma made biscuit dough last night, just might have to throw some of those in the oven when I get home, pour some gravy on'em and watch the rain fall...Shovel, I'd share, but ya didnt save me a cinnamin roll....

Hey everyone,

A little late getting in here due to a morning filled with DWI's. Had an officer with his undies in a bunch because someone did him a favor and moved his car while he was gone so we could paint parking lot lines. Told me that I had 15 minutes to do something about it ....

...that went real far with me .

Starting to get chilly again, just in time for the weekend .
Y'all keep em between the fenceposts,

Sounds like my day PW.
Had to explain to an LTC/CDR/0-5 that a ground mount weapons system will not fit on a tracked vehicle(Bradley). It will fit IN the vehicle through the back door. I think he got torqued when I started laughing after trying to explain his problem. It was right after he stated that I didn't have to talk to him like a three year old.

Howdy all,
DWI isn't just a military infliction. Happens to us "civies" too
I think a lot of the project managers were former officers before they got hired here.

needin' more

Talk about feeling like a dinosaur.
Had one of the unit's bring in an old block 2 Redeye trainer this morning. I was the only one on the compound that knew what it was.
This thing is older than my kids.

That conversation came up today when he was "schooled" on how things REALLY work. Won't have that problem again ... he just wanted to measure "dinghy's" and as far as positional authority goes, mine was bigger.

Looks like a chili night tonight. Better get at it before I run out of daylight.

Cheers,

Supposed to have been a little cooler here last night - - after wringing out my shirt a couple times this morning while trimming palm trees, I don't think it was any cooler. No snow, please, but I sure wouldn't mind some 55 degree nights - - just have to run the pool heater more. Bright sunny day, some clouds starting in the east - - maybe a little afternoon shower.

Think I will take afternoon off, relax, take the CFO out to supper, just cool it - - I have worked too hard all ready this morning.

BRRRRRRR Good Morning DTR'ers! Rise and Shine!
Coffees on and its a beautifull, alibeit COLD day! Who's turn is it to bring the doughnuts?
Meds the doc gave me must be working finally, I can breathe this morning, something I have been missing for the last week or so..
We shot in teh rain yesterday, new state-mandated course of fire..did all-right, but I HATE shooting in the rain...
Temp right now is 40F , way too cold for this time of year...I aint ready for this stuff yet, but at least it'll get the mosquitos out of the air.

Expecting delivery of the materials for the new barn today, hope it'll be up by this weekend and I can get started on getting the horses in-stalled( pun intended) Putting up a 40X56 barn, with two 10 ft sheds off each side, then got to put up fencing for a dry lot and run phone/water/electric to it, reseed the build pad and areas where they scraped up the dirt, get the drive packed and graveled, build 6 stalls and a tack room and office, level an area for my training pen and arena, get 6 tons of river sand deleivered and spread, get teh round pen built and some lighting installed.....
Then I just have to get the rest of the place fenced and I can relax till spring...

Did I mention I train/own horse because they are so relaxing to be around? Not to mention inexpensive to maintain.....

Morning all. Getting ready to haul a load of water down to Dallas to help Rita/Katrina refugees. A nice change of pace from work as usual.

Cool morning with good chance of wet stuff by lunchtime.
A couple of projects and a meeting on tap so far 'tween now and quitting time.

Coffee's ready here, still in search of the elusive Scrapple-n-Egg sammich.

Y'all B safe

Mornin y'all,,,,,,,,,

Starting the four to twelve shift today,,, ,,,,,, Oh well,,,,, at least it should be cooler.
I went over to Dad's yesterday and changed the oil on RATTLIN, then we changed the oil in Dad's 05. I tried sneaking the silencer ring out of his ,,,,,, but got caught. Dad says he likes the quiet of his stocker. I did notice that his owners manual states his 05 takes 12 qts. and I've always put 11 in my 99 like my book states. Did they make the pan bigger or add the extra quart when they moved the crankcase breather to the rear of the motor?
I guess I need to go out and fix my tailpipe that decided to let go on the bumpy backroads we drove last night. It looks like it rusted through right where the 4' straight pipe was welded to the tailpipe. Maybe it's a good excuse for a new 4' system! STRAIGHT-PIPE of course!

Y'all have a good one,,,,
