Warning about PBP's !!!!!!
If someone that you know has a Pot Bellied Pig and calls you about how to butcher one, ACT STUPID. No questions asked. Period. Say NO!!!
Stinks worse than Top and Hoss after eating cabbage and pinto beans. Worse than kimche (?)
and baluts (?)
Pig is now in the middle of a fire fueled by an 18 ft trailer load of old cross ties. The cresote smells good, compared to piggie.

PBP went up in smoke and is history.
Never messed with one before so the knowledge base was lacking. The smell of the cross ties burning did a good job of masking the smell of disposal.

One of our fireman was rasing PBP, and during a ice storm at his small farm, they lost all power for 12 hrs. Of the 12 pigs he had, 11 froze to death. Guess what they had for dinner the next day, pork chops. NO not the PB pigs, but the cook thought it was funny to serve pork chops, when he went shopping and they were on sale at the store. He failed to see any humor in that. (the fireman farmer ) Ken
