It's free speech but shameful.
I'm anti-war for this one but that's just terrible. They did it during vietnam, didn't they? I understand why they're doing it but it's terrible, it's manipulation. Troops are injured and probably trying to make sense of it, losing whatever they're losing. Now being bombarded with slogans blaming Bush. He didn't make them sign up, just gave them someone to fight.
Politics suck and so do both sides.

Well all I can say is that thw whining and crying mothers should be grateful. Their sons are, for the most part, sleeping in large tents, hotels, and barracks in Iraq. Conditions are a hundred times better than in any of the last wars we have been involved in. I know people who fought in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Those people usually had no beds or tents to sleep in. They found themselves in ditches, trenches, mud and snow. My father was in Vietnam and he would often sleep under his equipment trailer (he did a lot of trucking) because it was the safest place around. He was very fortunate that he wasn't a front line fighter.
People are protesting this war. Excuse me, but out of the last several wars we fought, this is the first one where we went to fight OUR enemy! WWII we bailed England and France out (along with several other European countrys). Japan attacked us because we were already involved in the war. If our military forces were still here, they wouldn't have dared to come within 500 miles of us. In Korea and Vietnam, same thing...we went in helping other countrys. This current war was started on OUR soil, attacking OUR people. We are just making sure we finish it up and don't leave loose ends like has been done every other time our men were in the Middle East.
One thing I don't agree with is the fact that we aren't taking over the oil wells. We are spending our tax money over there. We should start taking over the oil wells and shipping that oil back home. Subtract the value from what we are spending over there. Or better yet, just take it! WE are in control of the country now, so use that power for some good.

Very well said. They started by crossing onto our land. We have every right to defend ourselves. If they wouldn't have attacked on 9/11 this may not have escallated to what it is.

Clearly proof that new LOWs can be reached by some members of our species.
Having said that I must add that by even discusing it (and disagreeing with the protests) we are not helping. After all this is their intent, to penetrate all corners of society. Yuk!
I refuse from now on even to aknowledge their existence.
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!

Watched an interesting program about the atomic bomb on National Geographic channel. Something was mentioned that I wasn't aware of. Even as far back as WWII, there were those that protested the war. Nothing has changed since then, except for the media attention they get. Move along folks. Nothing to see here. It's the same old story that's been played for decades.
I, personally am anti-war. right or wrong, good or bad, a soldier follows orders.
The ONLY reason those people can do that is because of the right protected by the soldiers they are protesting.
If I was visiting my son there I would have to beat some..... well you know.
To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last--but eat you he will.

There have always been and always will be people who will protest war. Like you said the only difference is now they have the media attention to what they are doing. What I don't understand did the lady who started this support her son's decision to go into the military, or has she protested when other soldiers were killed in combat. If she has always been against war and wasn't happy that her son went into the military then I could see her point. But it's almost as if she feel like her son's life is the only one that matters. Thousands of men and women gave their life for this country through every war we have been in. Does she think the just cause her son died she can get everyone to change their minds??

The new way of thinking seems to be that people want to go into the military to get free training, benefits, and later education funded by the government. But then when something goes wrong and the soldier actually has to go fight and do what he was trained for, people get upset. Well excuse me, but as much as my heart is with all of our soldiers fighting for us, THEY VOLUNTEERED AND JOINED UP. We don't have the draft...they went into the military voluntarily. They knew what could happen. I feel bad for every one of them that gets injured, and I thank them for their sacrifice for us. But in the end, they are just doing their job, what they were trained for.

The largest protest during the Viet Nam was for FOR the war and troops. It was never reported on and never made the news so our soldiers never heard about it. All we heard about was anti-war protests, being spit on coming home, and being a baby killer.
The protestors at the hospital are just getting started. Next they will be at the airports welcoming our returning troops with anti war signs. Mark my words. These loosers have the same game plan as the 60's & 70's.
You don't think the world see these protestors?

we probably have taken the oil and if not yet, we will. If you disagree cus prices are still high ask yourself the following.
1. who is in charge of the oil?
2. if customers are willing to pay $2.60+ a gallon would they drop the price?
