You may be currently hearing threats about a gang initiation/threats to murder females at an unknown Wal-Mart. This threat has been circulated in the past but is resurfacing. It is in Snopes, haveing been created in '05. There should be no real reason to have any more or less vigilant when going into any potentially harmful area. Currently randon text and e-mail threats are being disseminated. Police agencies are aware of this false alrm, but I'm sure they do have their gaurd up.

Daughter called me at work today asking if I saw anything about it on the news.
(I work at a TV station)

I told her it was a hoax, a really old hoax, been around longer than she has.

She is planning on going to a Twilight DVD Launch Party at Walmart tomorrow night.

That spread around here in Stephenville. The text I got from a friend said 3 guys and 3 girls targeted. Everyone took it seriously and it was all over the college facebook network and everyone's texts.

 

I've heard it from 4 people in the past 2 days.
One said his buddy who was a County Cop in Maryland told him so "It MUST be true".

 

Well.. the sad thing about it. Since there has been so much publicity in the last couple of days, someone will probably try it now.

 

Wally World/Meglo Mart is dangerous enough without having to deal with any outside threat. I avoid going there unless I have to.
I did notice that the quality is going up. Saw a bunch of stuff from India.
