Lunch munch time

NW Houston, 73 and partly cloudy.

Pistol, do you want a wake up call? I do it for the kidletts and the prudent student. Also, did you call the boss and tell them to start the meeting with out you, that your still in line at the donut shop.

JWBM, hope you cat is not a "dribble kitty". Had one of them.

Most power is still out in Houston. Comming back fast, lotta crews from all over.

H E B grocery chain has a mobile kitchen in a 18 wheeler, puts aout 2400 meal and hour. At George Brown center today. When the close today going to Galveston. It needs a lot of help right now.

**FEMA IKE HELP. https://www.disasteraid.fema.gov/
It don't matter where you live, if IKE did harm or damage you are prolly elegible.

***TEXAS WORKFORCE HELP. If you lost your job, or missing work due to IKE they are expiditing unemployment payments. I have not been to the web site yet. I might even get unemployment for missing a weeks work. Dunno yet.

Fixed wife lunch, the generator should be hooked up and working soon. No more computers by candle light.

Got rounds to do, and laundry, and stuff.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Naaaaah ... I just scratched my butt, yawned and said "Oops. Where's my (insert string of colorful expletives here) raggin' coffee cup ???". Someone chuckled and said ... "Yep, he's a retired Chief !!"

Starting to rip up carpet and see the buckled subflooring. Interesting to see all the places that were built by the "Cheap Fairy" . Who puts wafer board down as subflooring ?? The carpet blocks are coming up VERY easy .

Cheers,
PISTOL

Night shift here. Morning wake up's gonna depend on how much I get bothered tonight. One more night after tonight, then vacation, so we need to keep the workload to a minimum.

Good evening, work wasn't too exciting today. Sinuses are bugging me today, that time of the year again. Took some sinus meds when i got home from work today and took a short nap before making dinner. Had some porkchops on the grill, potatoes, and green beans. Doing an oil change on the GF's car tomorrow after work. Gotta get that done before the weekend, she's going to visit her best friend in Lansing MI for a couple days. Lots of grass to mow this weekend, all the rain made a good healthy green lawn. Might have to settle for some hot tea tonight to decongested my head.

Evening. Gettin ready for my last class to start. Picked up a new book at the library today. "A Leap in the Dark" by John Ferling. It's about the struggle to create the american republic. It's pretty interesting so far.

Enjoy your evenings.

Im going to go home and enjoy a beer when this is over.

Take care.

I hear ya. I've escaped it so far this year but it's just a matter of time. When I was young, I would sneeze relentlessly and my nose would run so much that my shoes would get wet! Seemed like I outgrew it and until a couple of years ago I wasn't bothered at any time of year. NOW, instead of sneezing all the time, my nose runs down the back of my throat, my chest gets congested, can't breathe and eventually it turns into bronchitis. No kinda meds that I've found so far helps. I think I'd rather have the sneezin'!

Time to go scratch sumpthin'.

Coffee's on.

Thats what I get, I don't sneeze much but I get a heck of a lot of drainage in my throat. I always get a sore throat and cough after the drainage is done. If it keeps up I'm thinkin a pot of my homemade chicken noodle soup might be in the plans for the weekend.

I would, but I have obligations with some salmon. Need to get some smoked up for the season too. Plus, suppose to have a niece or nephew due this weekend that's gonna be a fishing speed bump.... oh and bird hunting...

Pot of water on the stove (not boiling) with 1 or 2 drops of peppermint oil will clear you guys up and anybody else in the house. Don't use too much.

Evening. Just got home.

No beer tonight.

Gonna read some though. Excellent discussion in my class this evening about fur traders, trappers and mountainmen. INTERESTING stuff. I love history and the stories that come with it.

Anyway, night DTR.
