Hopefully,that's over.

Looming on the west coast is a possible Retail Clerk grocery strike. The chains pay all of their pension but are asking them to pay $95.00/month for a family of four's health benefits. Poor babies. My wife and I contributed 150K toward our pensions and currently pay the retiree rate of $850/month health insurance.

I honored the strike last time, but if they strike over this "draconian" request I'll cross.

The corporate Thugs gave in I hope. What they were trying to do was wrong. Not a Union member here. It was the principle of what they were trying to do that fired me up. This is one place where Unions are needed, but I still don't like them.

If the original company package was accepted, we'd see the equivilent of a $20,000 a year pay cut.
This is a company that shows profits in the BILLIONS per year.

Uhmmmmmm.......NO!

Good news that you are going back with the existing contract. No gain or loss.
And it was a short strike, you did not have to tap into all that gold you have stashed in your storage shed.
