The un-breakroom 11/9

No break room in a week. Did I miss some extinction level event? Good thing the neighbor kids were taking care of the dragon or it would really stink in here.
Really windy yesterday and last night. Still windy this morning. It took the power grid down most of the night. Also had 2 earthquakes yesterday. Not very big, but their movement pattern was very different than normal. One big bump instead of a shake. Finally got the Subaru's heater working again. Changing that blower motor was an exercise in misery. Going to try and work on the 1st gen some today. See if I can find that open in the wiring.
I left some mini doughnuts on the counter for the shrews. They looked a bit undernourished.

Hey Coug - - - looks like this place has been really deserted. Glad someone took care of the dragon. I have been out of it for a week now - - wish the
doc could figure out where this pain originates and fix it. Not fun at all. Made a short ph00 and stole a couple little donuts. Next week is doctors
week. Tough when you have two doc appointments in one day. DUH L8R

Nice ride in the country. Things aren't so nice right now up here.
Winter storm warning for freezing rain and snow with high winds. Currently 30°. Got the high winds all right, power was off most of the night. Sustained winds of 45 with gusts to 60 started yesterday afternoon and are still going on. So much river dust visibility is about 1/10 of a mile. Had a little freezing rain yesterday, but the brunt of the wave is supposed to hit by 9AM.

Hey Coug - - - please keep that mess up there. Do not send it with a strong kick south. A little bit south, OK, but not a long ways south. We got
down in the high 60's the other night. Enough of that garbage. No thanks. Stay safe and stay warm.

Nuther week going in the basket. Got a lot done, but a lot not done. Moving too slow and unsteady with this messed up back. YUK.

Me gone to try and do something creative today.

We where supposed to have a big winter storm today. So far nothing at home. About 5 miles from here is a different story. I get to drive through that to get to work tomorrow.

So far not much Winter here. Cold snap last week got down to about 0, and a touch of snow Sunday.
I was checking out new tires on the slick spots, braking and accelerating to breakaway. My wife chided me about it. I 'splained that with a bit of practice, when s**t happens, guys steer out of it, and gals cover their faces and scream. She had to agree.

Fired up the neglected beast and went to get some lumber after dark. Hit the horn and the horn didn't sound, but the clearance lights went out. Gotta love Dodge electrical systems.

Happy Friday the 13th! Sounds odd for a December day, doesn't it.
Upper 20s and windy. Wind chill is miserable. I think I'll do some more procrastinating in a warm dry place.

Hey folks.

I'm alive, not that you care.

Where's Stan ? Finally taken out by some unfriendly group? I sincerely hope not.

Hope all are safe snug, and full of beer.

Everyone else must be out having fun, whatever that is.
A little warmer at 24° this AM. Been down into the teens at night. Supposed to drop into the single digits by the weekend. Been plugging in the truck the last few days. Caught my little midnight raider the other morning. A fuzzy little female feline named Isabel that lives next door. She jumped up on the porch rail and froze when I stepped out the back door. I picked her up, held and petted her and that was that. Now that she knows we are cat people she visits daily. There was a nasty flue bug going on around here. Most of our crew got it and I had to double shift for a few days. Ruined the company Christmas party at the hangar. Too bad, left plenty of food for me.

Looks like we are going to have a white, COLD Christmas. Currently 20° and dropping, wind gusts to 35mph. I'm staying in where it's warm.

It is pretty white around here. We got about 10 inches of snow up here in 36 hours two days ago. I might even fire up the old 1st gen and plow the driveway this weekend as it is supposed to warm up a bit. It has been well below 0F here the past two nights with day times highs in the teens.
