UFC and Pride

Rumor has it that the UFC owners are buying Pride for 65 mil. Press conference possibly as early as tomorrow. Anyone else heard this.

I hope it doesn't bring a downer on MMA like he was talking about.

Here is the link I found. Scroll down. It also says UFC 71 Liddell vs. Rampage Jackson 2 on May 26th

good, then all the good fighters will be able to fight each other. I'm glad a few of the pride fighters already joined the UFC.

There seems to be alot of crossover now that UFC has had some success. I saw some show ( can't remember the name) that was a spinoff of the UFC. Had UFC judges and fighters but a different name. I also saw Bodog fight last night. It was kind of a joke really. They have octagon and cage fighters in a roped off ring. The fighters were great but the ropes were very dangerous. I saw several fighters almost fly out of the ring and they probably had back injuries from being bent all the way backwards over the ropes with someones full weight on them. Bad idea.

<EDIT> By the way I have to go for Chuck Liddell.... he's a local boy. I run into him once in awhile. I just don't like Rampage anyways even though he's a friend of a friend. Sorry Eric your friend is a horses rear. ( don't tell him I said that until I get a mile head start)

Pretty cool to have Liddell in town. The only famous guy in town here is Tony Stewart and the only time I have ever seen him was in line at McDonalds .

Rampage and Liddell is going to be good but I think Liddell will take him this time although Rampage is one strong dude!!

Did I say GO CROCOP!!!

Pride's fighter's aren't much better now that most there top guys have switched to the UFC. They couldn't fight each other before, so now hopefully we'll get to see all the top fighters go against each other so there won't be a arguement over pride fighters are better or vice versa.
