Cool
My dad was a fireman (retired 10 years ago) but I remember when their hall got a new 100' ladder truck. I was extreamly impressed with the quality and construction of it. He said it was manafactured by a company in Cal. IMO you guys deserve the best equipment that money can buy and I take my hat off to all those that risk their lives to protect others.

My dad was a volunteer firefighter for our county. He was the driver for the fire truck on our end of the county. The first one was a 70's Ford 5 or 600 that had a water tank bed mounted to it. And that truck died in 97 or 98 (official fire chief for our end rolled it) and was replaced with an (84 I think) International 4900 DT-466. The bed was newly built but it was of the same fassion (it's a brush truck it doesn't have to be fancy) and a bumper and grille guard was added to it. That truck was referred to as the "go any where truck". Between the big tires, big low end power coupled with a water tank that was really light for the truck and not enough when fighting fire, and the bumper and grille guard that truck has climbed cliffs that you would fight to get up on foot, and gone through pasture fences where the posts used to be standing before the bumper found them.
