truck shakes when it shifts into OD(4th)

I know this is a diesel forum, but I just bought an 01 1500 and have a quick question.

1. Whats a good dodge ram forum for 1500s?
2. I thought the trucks shakes when it reaches 45mph until I realized then it shifts into OD(which is about 45mph) it shakes, as soon as I give it more gas to say 60mph its fine but when I let off and let the truck shift into OD, it will shake, whats this mean?

Its an 01 1500 with a 5.9 and I have NO clue about any history on it, I just bought it,

does it shake the whole time in od or just when it goes in to od
if its just when it goes in probably torque converter shutter if all time ? could be a band or a drum in trans or just about any thing in the od circuit or it could be as simple as sludge in th converter

It shakes only when I give it gas in OD, thats what im noticing, if im coasting in OD, I believe it doesnt shake.

Also:

1. What spark plugs should I use?
2. What oil and oil weight should I use?
3. Is 87 fuel good or do I need to use 93 premium?
4. Since the 98 refresh, are the hoods, fenders, headlights, tailgate still the same? I Have an 01 SPORT but need a hood, fender and headlights will it work from any 94-01 ram?

is this buy chance a v6 truck
sparkplugs champion
oil look at your fill plug for weight i like and use valvoline but brand is your choice
body parts i think they interchange from 94 to 01 in 1500
87 octane is fine that is what the factory calibrated for if timing is left stock

Here is something to try. Drive the truck and let it shift into od then just touch the brake a little just enough to turn the brake lights on. The converter should unlock then while you still have your foot on the brake give it throttle and see if the shaking is still there. If it is still there it is in the trans and if it is not there it is in the converter.

could be a miss fire caused from the added strain of full lock up. try a tuneup first

if it is a v6 truck i know what he is talking about as soon as the truck shifts to od the converter locks and there is a slight vib if you let up and reapply the gasa the converter will unlock and vib goes away this happens in my short wide v6 run about truck also its not a big deal the little v6 just doesnt have thw guts when the converter locks up to accel very well

You could try changing the filter and fluid and adding an additive for torque converter shutter. It is a friction modifier similar to what is used in posi rear ends.
