I am not sure if this is the right place but this is where I will start. I got my dad convinced of buying a new truck and was curious to see where I can find some good reviews of the top three. I might have him like the Dodge or the chevy the best. Just not so keen on the 6.4. Any tips would be great and dont want to start an arguement. Thanks.

 

Since I already have an 07 I'd say until 2010 I'd get the GM. After 2010 I wouldn't touch a urea eating motor which I think GM and Ford will be running.


I'd personally grab an 09 Duramax or wait till the 2010 Dodge.

 

Don't think I'd buy any of them for a few months, till we see how this whole debacle of debt they are all in pans out.

I would look for a pre-emission (up to MY 07) D-max or 5.9L Cummins. Much less worry over the long haul. Plus, you'll loose so much in depreciation on a new truck that it's not worth it overall.

 

Thats what I was trying to tell my dad. Hopefully he will listen.

Just noticed, except for transmission, we have the same '96 regular cab/2wd truck. Nice unit! Also one of the lightest Cummins truck around....cool!
