A TOTAL LOSS would have included the loss of you and your boy....so I'd say everything turned out pretty good. T-bones often lead to fatalities. I'm glad everyone is okay.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the crash and glad that you came out of it alright. Here's hoping the truck gets replaced appropriately.

Sory to hear abought the crash. I have ZERO tolerance for people who think it is OK to drink and drive. I never knew my grandfather because of a drunk driver. I seem to be plauged(SP) with alcaholic co-workers. Several of them have had OWIs in the past and curently 2 in my department alone have no drivers lisence, including my boss. If it ever comes to a vote I will be at the top of the list voting to permanetly take away liscenses from people who are caught driving under the influence. No second try, first time and your done. If they get caught once that means they have done it a bunch of times in the past and will continue to do it after they get there license back. Glad your both OK.

Sorry about your truck!

But things can be replaced.

Your life and your childs life cannot.

Count your blessings everyday

Update: Both of us are fine, still feel like I got ran over by a truck.

Heres the kicker. The "lady" that hit us was 2x the limit, with no d/l, and two prior dui's. The police report said that she was traveling between 45 and 50 mph, no atempt to stop was made. She said she had just left a local bar (overserved?)

Ever notice that the drunk isn't the one that gets hurt?

Glad to hear you're ok. I'd rather have it totalled and get a new one than get the run around on repairs. You didn't answer Dewain, where ya from? We're contemplating a couple meet and greets or coffee breaks and are considering all areas.

[Ever notice that the drunk isn't the one that gets hurt? [/B][/QUOTE]

A few weeks ago we worked an accident where the SRT10 was trying that 150 mph top speed, It left the roadway, caught some air, rolled at least 5-6 times, crushed the cab of the truck, and mangled every inch of the body, and then stopped. We thought sure its a fatality. We could barely see into the cab at the two occupants. After firemen, pryed open the cab, three drunks got up and walked out. Most serious injury was a broken shoulder, and well the ensueing DUI.

I am in extreme S.E. lower Michigan. I would be very interested in the meet and greets. Location means very little to me since we travel all over the state in the camping season. Feel free to p.m. me and give me more info. Always enjoy meeting and talking to people with the same intrestes. Thanks

I'm still trying to clean up financially after I got hit by a drunk driver-way back in October. It's taking forever to get my $500 deductible back, and since the truck was down for 5 1/2 weeks it cost the company some money. Now I've got to go back and sue her for $551.21 for expenses and lost time and money because we had no truck. So far we're still out a little over $1000 because of all this. Insurance company said about 120 days from now before I get my money!
