A few months ago, I asked where some good spots that my now retired parents could check out on the coast of Texas to spend the winter at. Most people repsonded that between Corpus and South Padre Island was nice. Well, my folks stayed on South Padre Island last week for 7 days. They loved it and have booked the hotel they were at for the months of Jan. and Feb. 2006!! My father, who is the last person in the world I would expect to ride a horse, rode one on the beach. I was stunned. I need to see pics of the Clydesdale that could do that.

Ahhhh....riding horses on the beach. I did that the last time I was down at CC. Fun stuff....even if the horses are old and worn out.

Glad they enjoyed their time in Texas.

 

I would think that concrete saddles are pretty hard on those horses. Maybe that is why they are worn out
