Officers are PEOPLE too! They think, act and make mistakes just like everybody else. I don't know why people expect them to be any less human than themselves.

I was told a long time ago(40yrs.+)--Don't ever do anything you would not want to see on the front page of the paper the next day or that you would be ashamed to tell your mother. And that was way before video tapes. That advice served me well----most of the time

I know they are human but if ever there were a time to be 100% professional I would have to say that was the time. Never be less than professional on the job no matter what. I think it gets back to that common sense not being so common anymore.

9 hours!......who the heck do they think pays their salary...Stress relief my rump. No, I don't FO for nine hours......I pay my salary.....buy the way I'm human. Let them go "earn a living". I doubt this is the first time, just the first time they have been caught.

Maybe that search could have been completed in half the time if all officers did their job . What other crimes aren't being investigated and what neighborhoods are not being patrolled while these officers are playing games ? For LEO's defending them , how would you like to be waiting for a backup while an available officer was going for a spare ?

And we wonder where the stereo type of an over weight officer sitting in a donuts shop comes from. These guys make you good officers look like crud. I would think you would be the first to get mad st these guys degrading your noble profession.

Well personally, I don't get mad because I don't care. I don't care because I worry about myself and doing my own job. As to the donut jokes, I laugh because it's usually the ones with about 30% higher body fat than mine making them.
