Hehe, it seems that the event should be renamed into SuperNudeBowl or the like.

This link will lead you to a pic containing backside male nudity happening at the superbowl.

As I said before, it was produced by MTV. What else do you expect?

What bothered me was not the breast itself, but the avenue in which it was presented. This is family entertainment, where kids of all ages are watching. The commercials were stupid, and completely rude. There was cussing in the commercials and during the broadcast. I thought it was very unprofessional. What bothered me most is when my 6 yr old came up to me and says "Look Daddy, she's naked!".

Jack, i agree. There is no such thing as a "family" show on prime time anymore. In the past few years it seems that the media has relaxed, and anything goes. I believe trying to decide on something that the kids can watch is a crap-shoot.

It everywhere. America is de-sensatizing its youth to homosexuality, nudity, crime, and foul language. Is all over TV, and the schools. I believe that is up to you as a parent to instill good, honest values in your children, and hope they stick.

We cant rely on T.V. to filter whats good, and bad. Because they obviously have failed miserably. I try and stay as far away from the IDIOT BOX as I can. I dont like it. I spend most of my time oustide, and my time in front of the t.v. is mostly watching the weather. OH well. this is my opinion. Take it or leave it, im done.

.......after proof reading this, I think I sound like an old man. Heck, Im only in my 20's.

Markus, you're looking at it (no pun intended) from a European perspective where the female form is regularly displayed on TV, and where people are comfortable with nudity. This is uptight American TV, where an exposed body part drives "middle Americians" to dash to their telephones to flood the network with complaints. Oddly, there are nightly series featuring rape, stabbings, shootings, stranglings, robbery, and assorted violence....nothing. Where are they? But people go berserk when they see a boob...... ....a very nice one I may add.
It's not so much ME seeing a boob that bothered me (even though that woman is truly disgusting and if I never have to see her again it'll be fine by me). It's the fact that they intentionally did it during the halftime show of the most watched football game of the year.....during the dinner hour.....when literally millions and millions of people and their KIDS are sitting down watching the Super Bowl together.....eagerly anticipating the halftime show. THAT is why it bothers me. You'd expect something like that from MTV, but CBS should be ashamed of themselves (MTV should be too, but those people know no shame).

It's a shame that television has come to what it is today.

Excellent post, Hoss. That is exactly what happened in our situation, where my kid came up to me yelling about her being naked.

Not from me. I was disappointed with the entire show. I'll forget the fact that I don't even enjoy that kind of music (Janet Jackson, Kid Rock, that rapper dude and Justin Timberlake). That's beside the point.

The two things that made me mad though were Kid Rock with the flag and Janet Jackson exposing herself. I thought Kid Rock should have been kicked hard in his backside by a big Texas cowboy with a pointed boot for the way he treated the American flag.

Since lots of US-TV series are imported by the European networks I think that in some of them like Autopsy there is a lot of nude flesh to be seen- OK the mostly female victims of serial murderers and rapists are dead, but nevertheless, you do see the parts that seem to wreak havoc when seen on a live person on TV
I'm not sure I'd agree with that. Granted, I don't watch that much TV, but I can only recall seeing one time that a "private" body part was showed on normal television. That was one episode of CSI in which they showed a dead man's backside. Even then, they gave a warning at the beginning of the program and again when they came back from a commercial saying that there would be brief nudity not suitable for all audiences.

Every other time I can think of, the questionable body part was always blurred out so you couldn't see anything.

Jack, Palmetto and Hoss: I cannot be on my on board with you guys. Palmetto, you my friend summed it up so well, I'd like to forward your last post to NFL Commissioner Paul T.

Frankly, I could do without the halftime extravaganza and simply see football related stuff. I understand the NFL wanting to attract younger viewers but it's the manner in which they are doing it that puts me off. Justin's Timberlakes explanation that it was a wardrobe snafu is ludicrous.

Meanwhile, the league front office is taking a hard stance against endzone celebrations like those of Joe Horn and Terrell Owens, how hypocritical is that?

I gotta agree- Janet Jackson is a pig-
On the otherhand, I was kind of happy to see that plastic surgery has been good to one of the Jacksons

Hoss: Maybe they don't blur them on the export version....
Since I didn't see the show I can't comment on the quality. I listened to some of the stuff from J.Jackson and also to something from Kid Rock. I wasn't impressed at all.
I do understand parental concerns about nudity and all sexual contents.
I do think that there should be a lot of parental concern about violence too!
I can just speak about how this is observed over here, and this may be a quite distorted view in some cases. Actually over here you do get the impression that the average US parent is concerned a whole lot more about his 10 year old seeing a bit of bare skin on certain body parts than about the same kid seeing a brain being blown out of the skull by a .44 bullet.
I do also appreciate the civilized tone of this discussion.

ScottR, Funny but I disagree. Nausea is nausea, is nausea. I would never miss seeing or hearing any thing of them (Jacksons) ever again if I only had the opportunity.
