All,

Sorry if this is considered a high-jack. Not my intention.

Back on thread, I like wood that is 8 to 18 months old. Just seems to work best in my furnace.

i will have to go out and look for the brand name. it is Canadian has a round stainless steel firebox with one weld seam on the top (20 year warrenty) forced air in firebox and legs that keep it proably 12" off the ground to prevent rusting

ok for those who asked, i started out with a new husky and a splittin hammer. That got old in a hurry so i went and bought a splitter. Split about 5 cord with it and then i found a wood processor. ya just load it with logs and then it cuts, splits 6 ways, and loads it in the truck for me. quite fast too. itll do 4 rick a hour if ya got the right wood. i cut the 100 cord by my self over the summer and then i had to go back to school so i hired a guy to do it for me. Thats even better. lemmie see if i can get a few pics of it. . . .

P.S. Does anybody want to buy a wood splitter??????

Neat looking processor. Can you get some more pics of it to show how it works? Or perhaps the company that makes it has a website. I watched a huge wood processor work in Mammoth Ca. doing pine. All automated. I have a pic in my gallery of a load of Eucalyptus wood that I hauled before I got the CTD. If you look the truck is even loaded down with it. I was WAY overloaded. The trip home was white knuckles (and dumb). The wood is Super dense and was wet, just cut (extremely heavy). The tree it came from had an 18+ foot circumference. The stuff is like iron. It burns great and very little ash.

All I can add is be carefull not to overfire your woodstove. I melted three steel baffles before I got a stainless one, and even it is a little distorted now. I also warped some of the steel inside the stove. I'm an idiot pyro, and it took a while for me to get the picture!

Cool !

Watched all the videos. Looks like you have the pro-cmx model.

The pro-hd is a monster. That thing would need a lot of trees.

king cord is lots bigger. itll do 5 cord a hour easy. its got a big 66'' curcular saw blade that cuts the wood. says itll do 1500 cord before you need to sharpen it.
