Free firewood, Ventura, California

I know that this does not apply to about 98% of DTR, but I was told by the Fire Dept, the more who take it, the better. PM me and I will give you details.
The wood is Eucalyptus (sp?), burns hot, bright, no snapping or popping. 4x4 will be helpful as well as a chainsaw. The FD has cut down the trees and have cut a lot of them up, but bring a saw. You may take as much as you want.

I'll trade some Moose/Cariboo/Yak backstrap, and a box of smoked salmon for a cord delivered.

How long has it been out of the ground? Is it still green? I may need some for camping this summer! Those dang euc trees always fall down onto houses on Hueneme, and I had an oak tree almost fall on my truck last time it rained!

Bit of a haul, but hey, I will be coming up your way this summer, Brooks Range to be exact. Flying.

Very wet, cut 2 days ago. Oak trees scare me to death, I would never sit under one in a storm.
