I was Stung by a bee

I was Stung by a honey bee tonight!

I didn't see them when I was re arranging their feed barrel. Got me on the side of the middle finger on my left hand.
Now my finger and half my hand is puffed up like an over stuffed sausage. Makes typing a challange. I took a couple Benadryl tablets about an hour after being stung.

So, who else puffes up when they get stung?

What works to keep the swelling and itching down?

I used to don't know if I do anymore. Last time I got stung was in 1968.

Don't laugh, but it works! Put some mud on it. The mud/dirt will absorb the infection. Me and my brother figured this out while out hunting. Works good for stinging needle run'ins as well.

Nope, it's pure adrinaline. (how ever you spell that...)
I've had my share of NBC training... I was in the Decon (nbcmsd) team for the base shortly after 9-11... we did some training... painful...

A big wad of chewbakka works great for wasp and bee stings.

about ten years ago i wake up with red dots on my hide and kind of itchy , well i take a shower and look in the mirror and these things are flashing on and off. really freak me out so off to the emergency room. well the doc has me take my shirt off and half dozen docs in training are looking me over. said i had an allergic reaction to something . by now i am freaking because my throat feels tight eyelids are swelling and got a fat lip. doc lays me down sticks a i v of benidril in me and within two minutes all of this stuff is gone and i fell asleep . i never had it happen again. thank god for small favors.

Psssst, don't fall for that one, I've seen it once. He puts your hand on the table and he spits a wad of tobacco on the ground. When you look over at it when it hits... he lops your stung finger off with a hatchet.

One day, I was going in my house to get something that I forgot, and a wasp flew out of no where and attacked me, bit me on the top of the hand. I was like, crap. I go in the house, get what I needed, knew that the wasp was probably waiting for me, so I tried to run out really quick. I saw him coming for my face, so I reached up to slap him... I felt him sting me, and brush against my hand while I was still on the way up. Liked to slapped the CRAP out of myself. Rung my bell. So, I get in the truck, eye's all swole up, and the wife what like WTH?
Almost knocked myself slap out. I got him later. Can of either and a lighter....
