What messages do you get when you try to access these sites?

Try to open a DOS prompt (I'm assuming you use Windows(tm)) and first type ping 80.120.200.66
and see if you get a reply- if yes type ping www.google.com (or one of the other sites you can't access) -again let's wait for a reply. If it says 4 packets sent, 4 received we know that it's not a network problem.
If it says "unknown host" we know it's a DNS problem.

Try that and we'll go from there.

Meanwhile, Begle has designed a piece of software to run on the DTR site so that once you visit DTR, you will be prevented from going to the Google site that rules the Internet land.....

Must be a Winders program. I'm having no issues at all using Linux and Opera.

Have you settled on a Linux distro yet? I've been using Vector Linux for about 3 months now and am extremely happy at how it works on my older PC (PIII/450).

Mandriva I hear is good (formerly Mandrake). I tried SuSE for a while, but it was just too much for this old PC. Worked well, but slow. Read a review on Vector Linux SOHO and tried it out. I knew there was a huge difference when it took me just 30 minutes to install vs the hour and a half it took with SuSE.

that you've got it solved.
On Linux distro's- I'm extremely happy with Gentoo- you will have to compile almost everything yourself, but it's a) rather painless and b) extremely fast on small hardware.
(If you follow some advices on optimizing the compiler and use flags )
