Small Block Chevy Question...
what was the question?
My corvette 327 stuffed in 71 short step truck (can you say spin tires until you got tired). It required a tune up every 3 months or 3000 miles.
oil, filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and a carb cleaning.
The timing is questionable since it run better a few degrees over advanced, but wouldn't start when it was warm (and wouldn't idel cold)

Except you did forgot to mention that the 283 and the 327 are small journal's. Might have a bit of a problem trying to build a 302 with a LJ 327 block and a SJ 283 crank.
Any one know some one looking for a SJ 327 block with NO ID numbers stamped on the block? Early/mid 65 if I remember correctly. Perfect to make that numbers matching '65 Vette that came with a 350.
I say no more.

I say no more.I passed on a '63 split window numbers correct back in '92...I thought it would never be worth the 22K price
yep 67s were small journal and 68-69 were large journals. I have a large journal crank and a 327 block in the barn. One day a 6-71 huffer will get put on a set of 8:1 pistons
Of course I need to get sick of wrenching on the 12v first.

Would be a good place to put that SJ 327 now. In fact, the ElKy is where the blank 327 came from.At one time I knew where you could get those stamps. Been many years since I have even thought about this.

And I believe it was the same one used in the SS.
