I give the guy props, after watching it start wiggling at about the 330' mark and knowing what the rear suspension was like on those old chebbies, I ain't man enough ( or insane enough ) to drive that one.

Wow! I would have bet against that thing making it to 60 in under 10 seconds.
when it's named "the Red Rocket" it loses claim to anything "sleeper" 
I would have to give it to Ron Allen's old white beat up looking first gen with the rattle can finish. Although I'm not sure what configuration (motor) he has it in now but was running mid/low 11's before his 6.7 quest.

Makes for an interesting launch, mine is much straighter than his though......

He probably doesn't have as much ballast as you think, those years had the trailing arm suspension, basically think a ladder bar almost all the way up to the trans. There is a company, hotrods from hell that use those chebby truck trailing arms to make really cool car suspensions.
