Guess Who Wins Moron Of The Week Award?

I got so used to locking my door (no power locks) on the way out that when I went to check my trailer out (someone let me know the tail lights were not working) I locked my keys in... no wallet, no cell phone, no nothing. This was on the side of the turnpike in the middle of no where, Ohio.

Dodge says I can only get the sliding rear window as a SET for $300 even though it's three seperate panes. Anyone know where I can get the driver side piece (in a HURRY). I guess I could buy the set and then sell the other ones to someone as dumb as me if that is possible.

(BTW, I was trying to break the middle one and the left one broke... haha)

I previously had never done that.

Till one day about a month ago.

Left the truck running while I ran into the convenience store to use the facilities, and left my son in as well
(he didn't have go go, surprise surprise)
Asked him before I shut the door if he wanted anything, he said no.
Went in and facilitized my self, bought myself a diet coke.
Was standing at the counter paying, when my son apeared at my side, "Dad, I gotta tell you something"

Asked to use their phone, as my cell was sitting in the truck.
Tried to get in the back window while waiting for my sister to come with my extra set.
They sure aren't as easy to get into as thieves would let you believe.
Sister showed up 20 minutes later, and I still have an intact rear slider.

I guess he changed his mind as wanted something after all.
And kids being kids, he had to play with the power door locks while he was getting out.

I now, as I had done countless times before when by myself, have the key fob on my person before I get out, regardless of how many people are still sitting in the truck.

You could try your local glass shop, I'm sure they have extra pieces lying around from fixing mistakes like yours.

Or you could always buy the whole set,
just next time make sure to break one of the panes you have an extra of.

Don't feel too bad, been there done that. Stopped in the middle of nowherersvile Pa one day to, of all things, take a picture of a stupid ground hog sitting on a stump. Jumped out with the ac running, stereo blaring away and got my pic. Went back to the van and guess what. I still got the rock in my bedroom that I threw at the window just to remind me how stupid that was.

Check out www.car-part.com. You may be able to find an entire window cheap, and just pull the part you need, or replace the entire thing. I think replacing the entire thing takes about 10 minutes if you know what you are doing.

Hey, if I am not in first place, I'm in second. See a black O sized cable is ground right? So I hooked it up to the ground stud on the alternator.... Should have seen the sparks with I hooked up the batteries Now, at least I had another 140 amp fuse, on the wrecked Dakota I have Didn't Chrysler ever hear of red for positive and black for ground?
