If I shot that off in the city, skunked dogs would be the last thing I'd be worried about.

Anybody got a real quiet silencer?

Well you could try a trap, then if you catch one throw a blanket over the trap and haul **** to a comfy spot to do what you will with.

If you live in the city best way is the trap. No poison or anything to worry about with the dogs and like rip said take him out and do what you will, hopefully that means a slug to the head. One of my guys wife got real cute the other day and got a desented skunk as a pet for the kids.... I would have to make that thing disappear quick........

I believe this is the recipe that Mythbusters liked the best. I havent had a chance to try it (and dont want the chance).

"From Popular Science Aug. 1995, chemist Paul Krebaum provided the recipe for the bathing concoction. One quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, one quarter cup of baking soda, and one teaspoon of liquid soap. Bathe your pet in this solution and rinse with tap water. Krebaum warned that there is no way to store this potion. "If you put the ingredients in a bottle, the whole thing would explode.""

Poison? If you didn't have dogs I'd say a couple containers of antifreeze strategically placed in the yard would work...

After you shoot, run out your front door WITHOUT the shotgun and look around confused.

You would be surprised just how few people will 1) hear the shot, 2) know it was a gun shot, and 3) be able to tell which general direction the single shot came from.

A trap, tarp, and 50 to 100 gallon tub takes care of skunks nicely too.

Sounds like you are speaking from experience on that one

usually let my bow do the work in town. but its basic psychology. between midnight and 4 am, people aren't sure it if was a dream or if they really heard something and dont really know what they heard.
its the second shot when people are up investigating that will get you in trouble.
