Sirius all the way, and I've had XM and Sirius in the same truck as well.

I have the Sportster Replay (fairly large and clumsy) but it has a very strong FM modulator and I can't hear any noticeable static. If it was hardwired I know it'd be slightly better, but this one is powerful enough that not only gives me a clear signal, but it interfere's with other guys' systems. The replay feature is also nice when I'm at work and in and out of the truck.

I've also had a Starmate, it was smaller but had less features and gave me slight static that you could hear if you really turned it up loud.

If I was getting another one, it'd be a Stiletto 100 and the vehicle kit.

Guess I'll be the loan Sirius hater of the group. I've had both and the service is comparable. Neither one is bad as far as channel selection goes. My major grip with Sirius is if you ever have to disconnect from their service Sirius sucks!!!! When we had two house payments we had to cancel both services. My wife had XM and I had Sirius. I paid for a year in advance on both services. When I called XM to cancel my service they were very apologetic and helpful. They even gave me a refund of the unused portion of my service. Sirius on the other hand was very hard to deal with. I still had over 3 months left on my service (which was already prepaid by the way) and they would not disconnect the service unless I paid a $75.00 disconnect fee. I informed them that I had already paid for a year in advance and they told me that they treat their radio service like cellular service and charge a disconnect fee whether it was prepaid or not. I told them at that time that I knew who I would go back with once I got the money to get satellite radio and it wouldn’t be Sirius. She told me that was my right but they weren’t going change their policy. So long story short, whoever bought my old truck got 3 months of Suckius thanks to me.

I personally would never send any customers their way.
