We had a shopwide brainfart several years ago when those little $150.00, 49cc pocket bikes were the rage. (Rage lasted a few hours I think).
8 employees got paid and immediately ordered 8 of those little death cycles.
One week later the shipment arrived.
Two hours later we had em assembled and were racing down the county road.
Four hours later two of them still ran.
That was the last time we rode them. Took them apart the next week and parted them out on ebay.
Made enough to pay for the stitches.

i am not sure how many hours they will get on them during their lifetime. They are just for the nieces to use until the kids are big enough to drive the full size quad. At the price I paid and the cost of the repair, I don't mind doing a few repairs. Like most folks on this board, I actually enjoy some wrench time in the barn. It is heated and I don't have to clean up after myself in the barn like I do in the house. I think I am partly to blame for this repair. They clearly state not to be used by people over 100lbs. The night of the party (when they were damage) I had a few wobbly pops and I wasn't supevising very well. I think that some of the riders exceeded the weight restriction and that is probably what fried the centrifugal clutch.
