I caught a guy stealing my dirt bikes thursday morning but he was able to get away. I know a few of you guys here have a good knowledge of cameras. Is there any camera system that will send a sms text message to my phone when they see something?

I don't have any first hand experience but a quick Google search indicated there are multiple systems that meet that need. I Googled "security cameras that text".

Yea I did that too but I don't know what was any good brands or anything. Thanks for the help.

Any camera that can tell you something is amiss when away will be worth it.

I would go with a seasoned brand name over anything unfamiliar...

Geovision has several systems that can do that. If you get a Geovision camera card that goes into a computer, The program they send will allow you to set up any number of events, making calls, texting, sending snaps or video to your phone, turning on alarms, snapping locks shut, or whatever.

There are even systems that will detect an intruder, say in an outdoor storage area, and zoom in and follow that motion while making calls about it. New high resolution systems can read a license plate blocks away.

All it takes is money.
