Today is the day we celebrate the life of a man who got lost and wouldn't ask for directions.
He "discovered" a land full of inhabitants that didn't know they were "lost".

Just another day at work for me.
Thank goodness the rest of the base is off except for the Security Forces Troops, the Firefighters, and a couple of agencies that "don't exist".

A Power-Nap is the most important task on today's schedule.

Y'all B safe,

Man .... I sure could get used to these 4-day weekends !!!

Been looking for something for Wifey's B-day at the end of next month. She said that she would take care of it ... red flags popping up all over the place !!
She mentioned that she likes TOPAZ ... so maybe I can find something with a topaz stone in it. .... or maybe painting my truck topaz would be enough .

Speaking of stones .... Flashdancer, you have mail .

Have a fine Navy day !!

If I did that to her I wouldn't live to see my retirement .

The bad thing is ... I am wasting valuable B-day shopping time looking at this site. Maybe that is why she said that she would take care of it herself . She knows me better than I know myself.

Mornin' all,
This weeks goal is to get nothing stuck in my tires.
Yesterday was great day to be out on the water, the only thing that sucked was the view. I had to stare at the back of this big noggin all morning.

Off to make (Chris, you left the pot empty, that's not like you)

Hmmmm. Don't see a big noggin in the pic. Rob, I think you need to cut back on the coffee some.

'Scuttlebutt'... jeesh! I almost started a new 'watercooler' thread and was gonna yell at you guys to get up and get the coffee goin'! 'Scuttlebutt' indeed, sounds like some kinda rash in an unmentionable place. I think I've had that actually, and it itches!

Gloomy, cloudy day here in MI. Still doesn't look like fall tho. The trees are still green and even the swamp maples are devoid of any color. It's getting cooler at night, but that's about all that reminds me it's fall. Even the guys that hunt this place are complaining that the deer aren't moving as they normally would be this time of year. They've usually taken at least one or two by now, and so far only one guy has spotted one deer. Weird year!

Picked up a job from a guy that owns 6 self storage joints here in town. They all have 8' high steel bar fencing all around the places, (they look like little square pickets with spears on top of each one, spaced 6" apart). I have the task of straightening all the bent 'pickets' where the plows have pushed snow against them at the bottoms. That should only take a few months!

Y'all, (did I say that right?), have a good day!

chaikwa.

Actually it is a Navy term.
From dictionary.com:
Slang. Gossip; rumor.
Nautical.
A drinking fountain on a ship.
A cask on a ship used to hold the day's supply of drinking water.

Thanks for typing slow. If the wife didn't remind that when Mickey's little hand was pointed and 6, and the big one at 12, I wouldn't even remember supper.

Happy Monday (being facetious)

Nice drizzly day here in NC. Weather did cooperate for the golf game yesterday.
Big day of watching Mr Flash’s undies chase my undies around in the dryer. Then it’s off to get the grub in for the week. I hate Monday’s but wearing dirty clothes and starving is not an option so I guess I’ll just suck it up and go do my wifely duties.

Thanks Rob for clarifying that. You’re getting fast on the draw with that dictionary.com. Don't feel bad James, Hotdram nailed me this last week with the word "Snarky".

Ya'll have a good one

I'm know that's what the squids call them, one of their terms we use also. Like deck, head, overhead, etc. I think he was trying to spook me with using great big words like "dictionary".

Painting the truck topaz will do it for her! (I really need a smilie with horns holding up the halo!)

However, if you want “your stones” intact I would suggest jewelry.

Goooooood Morrrrrnin !!!!

I'm well rested and ready to go .... back to bed. I don't want to be here at work, I don't care if it is a short week. Nothing changes ... it's always around here.

I did my squaw work yesterday ... now I have clean clothes to wear and a couple clean plates to eat from. Even had the time to find Wifey's B-day present. (Stones are still intact) .

Down to 18 months left before retirement ... the little light at the end of the tunnel is slooooowly getting brighter. Still don't know what I am gonna be when I grow up though. Maybe a real pain in my kids backside ??

Everyone have another cup of coffee ... it's on me this morning.
