Scr*wed?

Hi all,

I Ordered a 2500 HD CTD HO 4X4 Laramie, 6spd, SWB, Quad Cab back in early Jan. I just found out that Dodge dropped the combo cash and 0%. I put down $1000 deposit so I guess I don't really have any leverage for getting a better deal. Anybody have any ideas of anything I could do? The price on the truck is decent--dealer invoice plus a little overpay on some accessories I wanted. I guess I shouldn't complain, but I'm probably going to lose about 2K on believing the dealer that "all his trucks usally come in within 8 weeks and not to worry about it."

Side note--is it bad form to ask what other paid for their trucks?

I think you'll get whatever incentives were going on at the time you ordered the truck. In fact, I'd insist on it. There's not really anything the dealer can't do if he wants to.

We just started running commercials for "truck month".
All through March, Dodge is offering 0% and $3,500 cash back on selected trucks,
and the spot mentioned the "600". (not sure if it gets the 3,500 though?)

Like Hoss said, you should get the incentives offered wen you placed your order.
If the Dealer gives you any flak, cancell your order and re order with the new incentives.

My dealer told me putting money down provided me with a contract. This would allow me to take whichever incwentives were better the ones when I placed my order or the ones when it came in. I paid 3% under invoice. My order sheet is in my Pics the price listed is after the 2500 rebate. Shawn

I take it back! I was too anxious and kept checking the Dodge site before they fully updated (I guess). Now I see that the combo is back. All is better in my world!

I checked and for our zip code it doesn't show the combo offer. When I ordered I ordered with the $2000 cash back and zero percent financing for 48 months. Now all it shows is $2,500 cash back.

This is on the Ram 2500 Quad cab. What are you guys seeing for incentives?

Sold Order Protection. I ordered in late January, out down a deposit, and supposedly locked in $2000 cash + 0% for 48. If that has now gone away. Dealer can always give you the cash, but they have no control over what Chrysler Financials rates are.

I made sure that if I lost the 0% part of it, I could still afford the truck.

I guess I'll find out when I pick it up in a couple weeks.

Also showing 2500 OR 0% for 36 months for my ZIP now.

But, the valid dates for that showed up as 1-6-04 through3/31/04, so these have been in place since the beginning of the year.

We're going to have to check with our dealers.

I've seen past posts from Tomeygun that we *should* get what we locked when we ordered, or the deal now, WHICHEVER is BETTER.

We'll see.
