Its amazing how easy it is to put a false back on a closet, the unused area under stairs or some such thing.
In your area you could probably even get away with putting it inside against an outside wall.
Up here we get too much condensation to risk an outside wall.
I have a friend on here that is a former Navy Seal..he had his safe hidden in his shop behind a set of shelves that had paint cans and stuff on it...you would never know it was there.

Unfortunately one night a thief broke in and used his plasma cutter to cut the safe open and steal his weapons and somehow he got past a dog that would eat most people alive. I told him that most burglary's happen by people you know and he needed to look in that direction.

Turns out it was a guy he knew and trusted and they busted him but the guns are long gone. Again I want to stress to anyone looking to get a safe, consider hiding it and be sure NOBODY knows you have it. A safe only slows em down if they want what is inside it.

Yeah, I got stupid years back.
I have a good friend I have known since high school (40 years). I would always show him new acquisitions and we both liked to shoot.
He is still a good friend but his son turned into a total meth making dirt bag.
The kid hasn't been in my house in 20 years but he does know about the big safe.
He is now doing another 7 years for robbery and is probably screwed up enough that he doesn't remember even where I live but I really regret showing anybody where it is at.

Did you folks watch the video I posted? It stated several layers of steel and stainless steel would help stop the cutting. What do you need to cut through stainless steel? Will a plasma cut through it?

Another tip is to keep it near the outer walls of your abode. In case of fire, it is quite a bit cooler than the middle of the structure.

Ideally, surrounding it in grout filled CMU would be the best....

Sorry, I think I am a little funnier after a couple pops.
