Herb, is that another new trailer? What happened to the 53' trailer? You have any pictures of the sleeper you are putting on? Nice setup by the way....

sold the 53' , it had 7,000 lb axles and that put me over 26000 gross, meaning i had to go cdl. i had this one built with 5200 pound axles and that keeps me under the magic 26000 number.
the sleeper is being built on the trailer. hard to see in photo but the steel framework is in place for it . will sheet it when i get back. low profile Coleman air/heater came in yesterday

Looks like a neat rig. If you go thru the Louisville/Ft Knox area on your trip and need anything, holler.

should be going thru there in about 8 hours if my memory serves me correctly. i bought my gasser Ram in Loisville (from Doug Stone, country singer) , got to warning tickets with it on the way home. I think that bright red draws attention

herb dont know if youve been to florida before with the 53' but the 46' will keep you out of trouble there too. i think they have a 48' limit on a truck/trailer.

btw most trailer manufacturers will down-rate a trailer for free or minimal cost, even if it has 3x7 axles, they can put a 17200 tag on it so you add up to 26,000 exactly, if your truck's GVW is 8800.

HID would know, but I think that is correct with the truck towed trailer length... Something about removing the bed and registering it as a tractor to get around that restriction? I dont remember exactly what he said......
