Greetings from up here. Matt, when I read the thread title for the breakroom all I thought was Right On!.
My step dad was a good man and we lost him a few yrs ago...your mention of the WWII stuff you got prompted me to ask my mom if he had anything like that. Yes he did and she gave it all to his son's. However, she handed me a ring of his. The one I admired many times when we visited. Brought a tear to my eye. Good memories.

Hey Sandy, you get the truck cleared of all the particles yet?

Mexstan is in the doghouse...maybe its a Greater way of getting him for taunting me about living up here where he once lived...where it can get cold sometimes. Hope you get it figured out.

Then theres FiverSpeedoBobby...some of you know that we take a few shots at each other now and then. Under all those shots is a good friendship and we actually met a few yrs back.

All this stuff about memories brings back some good ones about the folks I have met on here and the good fun too.

I hope everyone has a great week and take the time to appreciate and remember all your friends and family. Strange how I sometimes take that all for granted.

Thanks DTR.

Scotty, Tops younger, much more handsome twin brother.

Lary's Leggs will always be nicer though

Evening everyone, again thanks for the prayers and kind words. They mean alot to me.

Did some yard work and detailed the truck today. It was hot too! It's was in the mid to upper 80's here! Got alot done today. The wifes friend and her 1 yr old came buy this evening to visit. We made some grilled chicken for dinner.

Gotta mow tomorrow after work, the ground was still too wet today.

Wife's allergies kicked in to high gear today.

Matt, I hope everything is fine. Times like these are not easy, just a few weeks ago my grandmother had her funeral. I wish you all the best for the future! It seems John was a great man!

Had a great BBQ today, I guess I could´ve become a member of PETA.....People Eating Tasty Animals...shrimps, salmon, chicken, pork, beef, we had them all

I definitely have to upload a few pictures of my nephew. 8 months old and BIG. But first I have to get those pictures from my brother...

Have a good night,
Kris

Edit: maybe this song helps in some way

I took a camera pic, and even that cannot be revealed.
You are no different than the rest of us, except you actually tried to ride a camel.

It is partly her fault, but it is a lost cause to even mention that to her. Some of you will know what it is like to try and reason with a woman that is angry.
If you don't figure out how to clean that mess up YOU made it'll be more like a shooting in the drive.

All the food was off the chain tonight. Very tasty. I ate so much that I don't want any supper.

Stan, sorry about your troubles with the driveway... that's why I changed my tranny fluid out in the street... good thing I did, too! Good luck with the truck, have safe travels. As far as the wife... be strong, it will pass!!!

Yeah, most of them. I need a shop vac with a beater bar on it, other than that, I got it pretty good. Turned the AC on in the truck today, face got sand blasted! D'oh!

Got the uniform squared away, cut my hair, cleaned up the garage a little... probably gonna put the muffler back on my truck tomorrow. I love the sound, but that straight pipe is not very polite in neighborhoods and heavy traffic. My tip is about the same height as most normal car's windows, not very nice. *sigh* hate to see it go, but a necessary evil.

Ok, gonna putter around on the computer for a little while longer, then off to the rack. Busy week this week.

Oh, yeah, Scotty,
What is up with all the comments about Lary's legs? I've seen them, they'd make a mother flinch.

It goes back to a trip he and I did and this guy in a gym we were at. Walks up, pulls down his track pants and says...Look at My LEGGS Look at my LEGGS. He has a hoarse raspy voice and from then on we have joked and commented on it. Lary and I have some nasty scarred up LEGGS.

Look at my LEGGS.

Maybe Lary will add his comments. I am laughing once again.

Evenin' All.

Got a call for some more OT tonight. I've had more OT trhis week than in the last 3 months..... figures, I got plenty of work at home I could be doing......

Got my plumbing all figured out and repaired. All that's is the sheetrock work and my boss' kid is coming over tomorrow night to do that part. I fix his truck, he fixes my walls. Good trade. If I do the sheetrock, it'll be another year befor I even fill the hole let alone actually mud, tap and re-texture. I also found out that there was a class action lawsuit regarding abs pipe failures that I may qualify for. Need a bit of research on that.....

Got the yard thatched, raked and a good soaking this weekend as well. hopefully it'll green up again. Not enough snow this past winter to keep the grass from a good freeze..... we'll see.......

Garage all cleaned out too.

Back to the slave chambers for the night... Ya'll have a goodun! Back later.

Morning all.

Today is Monday, May 24th.

1607 - Captain Christopher Newport and 105 followers found the colony of Jamestown at the mouth of the James River on the coast of Virginia.

1610 - Sir Thomas Gates institutes "laws divine moral and marshal," a harsh civil code for Jamestown.

1624 - After years of unprofitable operation Virginia’s charter was revoked and it became a royal colony.

1764 - Bostonian lawyer James Otis denounced "taxation without representation" and called for the colonies to unite in demonstrating their opposition to Britain’s new tax measures.

1830 - The first passenger railroad service in the U.S. began service.

1883 - After 14 years of construction the Brooklyn Bridge was opened to traffic.

1931 - B&O Railroad began service with the first passenger train to have air conditioning throughout. The run was between New York City and Washington, DC.

1941 - The HMS Hood was sunk by the German battleship Bismarck in the North Atlantic. Only three people survived.

1954 - The first moving sidewalk in a railroad station was opened in Jersey City, NJ.

1983 - The Brooklyn Bridge's 100th birthday was celebrated.

1994 - The four men convicted of bombing the New York's World Trade Center were each sentenced to 240 years in prison.

2000 - A Democratic Party event for Al Gore in Washington brought in $26.5 million. The amount set a new record, which had just been set the previous month by Republicans for Texas Gov. George W. Bush.
