been out tearing down a temporary camp on one of the downfield platforms. fun fun been rolling up 1'' copper cable all day.

 

I could use about 90 ft to run service out to the man cave.... just sayin..

 

I've done that before... ran a lot of wire to the man cave, had to dig the panama canal out there to run the wire, too...

Afternoon, all. Just got done grilling the fall apart ribs, got the greens, 2x potatoes, fried corn bread, deviled eggs, and pound cake with fresh strawberries on top... Mmm...

 

All that lonely food and no advance notice...............man, I am not feeling the love here.

 

Hey Matt - - glad all went well with the service. Like I said, you will remember the good times as the sorry dims. He sounded like a neat guy. I raise my ph00 cup to him in salute. Wish I could have known my paternal grandpa - - never did meet him. Sad.

A bagel sandwich? What IS that, a bagel between 2 pieces of bread? Doesn't sound all that great to me.

Man! Except for the corn bread and eggs, that sounds delish! I'm having a tuna sandwich.

Never met mine either, but my dad was 54 when I was born, and his dad was old when he had him, so gramps was long gone by the time I showed up. All my relatives on my dad's side were career Coast Guard and I've seen pics of gramps. Looked just like what you might envision of an old sea captain of that era; HUGE belly, perfect uniform with a double row of buttons and a mustache that made him look all the more like a walrus! Guess that runs in the family. I'm the black sheep of the family tho, (shut up Cincy and Blake!), as I couldn't care less for the ocean.

Evening all. Hot here today, in the high 80's with humidity. Next weekend it's supposed to be in the 60's and rainy.

busy busy, son moved basically, but back home as electric company did not do their part. lot of running around to do this week on everyone's schedule.

gosh you guys- had to talk with some fellas today and could NOT keep a straight face. two non-homosapiens with a flock of sheep that got loose. no gate, so they were helping them over the fence. I hate you all. I really do.
I took a camera pic, and even that cannot be revealed. saw the/a ghostbusters cadillac, right down to the custom plate. today just has been an event......

don, son went fishing with friends (among other things), they caught 42 bluegill and had quite the fish fry. I am soooo jealous.

A very belated hi to everybody. Been too busy lately to have much to do with DTR other then drive by comments and then running. Something like a drive by shooting. Getting ready to head across the northern border on Saturday and take my Pathfinder out of the country for good.
Matt, my condolences on losing your grandfather. Like others here, I never did get to know mine and in retrospect I know I lost out.

The last few days here have been unusually hot for us with what I call 30/30 days. Temperature of 30 degrees C and humidity of 30%. The rainy season is about to start and we already have had a few short showers. We need more.

My barber is calling and ready to give me a haircut. Not sure if should go near her with those sharp scissors as she is still sore at me for messing up a part of the driveway yesterday. It is partly her fault, but it is a lost cause to even mention that to her. Some of you will know what it is like to try and reason with a woman that is angry.

 

Hope for me for what? I well adjusted and happy, what more could I need?

Among other things? What else did he go fishing with, the sheep you took pictures of? Maybe that's why you can't show them to us too!
