I don't think there's a quick and easy answer to your correlation between powder charge and bullet drop. Not sure if you have the spare $$ to invest in a chronograph and some good ballistic software, but there are plenty of programs that, based on bullet weight, ballistic coefficient (available from bullet mfgs) and initial velocity, can predict trajectory accurately.

Of course, there's always the fun method - load 5 rounds each at decreasing charges and shoot them. Plot the impact points and come up with your own correlation.

On a different note, here's something I found the other day:

Why Reload?

If you would have asked me that in the 1960's, I would have replied,
"It's cheaper than factory ammo."

If you would have asked me that in the 1970's, I would have replied,
"It's faster than factory ammo."

If you would have asked me that in the 1980's, I would have replied,
"It's more accurate than factory ammo."

If you would have asked me that in the 1990's, I would have replied,
"It's more reliable than factory ammo."

If you would ask me now that we are in the 2000's, I would reply,
"It's just a hell of a lot of fun!"

I was thinking more along the lines of load 5 round groups for 1/2 grain incriminents down to a bullet drop of a couple inches at 100 yrds and see how they group. Every gun as something it likes and I want to find out what that is for my gun without having to buy every type of ammo and load every combination.
