Is This A Record?
Chi Trib, 9/20/04. A rather LARGE man was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital, with the recorded weight of 1,072 Lbs. A wall in his house was knocked down, and a SPECIAL ambulance was required for the BIG move. Now down to a trim 700 Lbs and hopeing to loose another 400 Lbs Patrick is on a 1,200 calorie-a-day diet. His weight in kindergarten was 90 Lbs, and over 250 in middle school. He says years of bad eating habits caused his problem.

There is a picture of Pat in the paper , and the ambulance was equiped with a heavy duty stretcher & winches,Non female type, In the Hospital they use a special lift system, and he hopes to enter the swimming pool, that is as soon as they can figure out a way to get him out of the water. He also states that his father and grandfather were over 300 Lbs. There is a 10 member team that cares for him in the hospital. The largest person I ever moved with my fire crew, was a 625# man. There were 8 of us on the stretcher, and we bent the frame.
