I took this when I was working at an apartment building in the city of Covina, what used to be nice is turning into a little ghetto.

The razor ribbon keeps them from jumping the fence into the flood control channel.

I was trying to see if you would ignore the razor ribbon and only look at the fluffy clouds.

Back in 2001, I decided to re-do a 40 year old kitchen (my own), and by 2003, I had saved enough money to do so.

With that, being that I'm a contractor who (used to) specialize in remodeling kitchens / baths, I wanted so showcase my own kitchen, I went with Sub Zero styled GE Monogram refrigerator. Unfortunately, for me, that is.

GE decided to "cheap out" and in their freezer unit they used a mixture of stainless steel, and galvanized (and painted) metal. Due to galvanic corrosion, the stainless parts blistered the paint off of the galvanized parts, and the particles of paint fell into the drain port for the defroster, clogging it up, and causing my bottom freezer to "Lava flow" until the door itself opened up and ice poured out onto the floor.

The only fix is to remove the 800lb fridge, set it on it's back, cut off the drain tube, and install a bigger drain p-trap that won't clog. Since GE replacement part for the freezer is twice the internal diameter of the one in the picture, I guess the realized that they screwed up.

Really pisses me off that I spent nearly $4000 on a fridge back in 03, and I've had nothing but problems with it since. I've replaced the panels that rot out several times, but I know that I'll continue to have to do so until I finally give in and get another fridge. With the layout of my kitchen being so small, I can only use a "cabinet depth" fridge, which averages between $4k-$5k to replace.

It took me 8 hours to fix the fridge, start to finish, as you have to disassemble every part off of it to be able to get it out of the enclosure, protect the tile flooring with hardboard, lay it on it's back, make the repair, and put it all back together again.
Live and learn, I guess.

I wish..

The owner(s) of the building, whom my brother in law has the maintenance contract of the buildings interior for, has his own plows, salt truck and bobcats. They.... like myself.... love to play in the snow, so I don't have a chance .....

Wish I would have had a rifle with me that day. The one behind him has a bigger rack than he does.

Amazing what 10X zoom and 16 megapixels will do for a set of grain bins that's over 14 miles away.
