Question for bowhunters...
I don't hunt anymore, but back in my younger days.......I started with a recurve and moved to a compound. One day I got the bright idea of putting sights on the compound. I tried them faithfully for several weeks roving in the field at small non-living targets. I found out that, with sights, I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if I was locked INSIDE the barn
. Took the sights off and was back to my old standard. My best shot ever was taking a squirrel out of a fork in a tree at 35 yards. No sights. I found that I could not judge distances worth a hoot, but I could look at something and just seem to know how much to holdover. Don't ask me how, but it worked for me.
