Re:Pontiac Aztek is Toast!

The first time I ever saw an Aztek I couldn't believe any one could buy something so ugly. Some other favorites are the Chev Avalanche, that new Honda SUV, and the Ford Explorer/pickup thing.

Re:Pontiac Aztek is Toast!

The first ad I saw for the Aztec said it was quite possibly the most versatile vehicle in the world. I think they meant to say the most ugly. That new thing that Honda builds is right up there with it. I can't believe Honda even left something like that off the assy line. :

....and they ought to escort the entire GM design team responsible for those hideous creations like the Avalanche and the Cadillac line out the door too. If you read that link, it looks like it's being replaced by something designed by a Buick team. I read the caption and sure enough! Geez, so predictable. :
Cries of remorse often accompany the end of a vehicle's production, but the announcement of the end of the Aztec should be pretty silent.
Re:Pontiac Aztek is Toast!

I especially liked all the pretty colors they chose to paint those Azteks. ! Like urine yellow or puke green or baby movement brown could compliment such an ugly shape! It's like they knew it was so ugly, they might as well put an ugly color of paint on it to match!
Seriously, what are all these car companies thinking lately with putting plastic around the wheels? I think the Aztek started it, but it continues with that stupid Avalanche, and that awful Honda thingy. Even Toyota started doing it to their 4Runners!
Re:Pontiac Aztek is Toast!

I never really realized it before, but the hiddeous colors is right on the mark! I saw some posts here with those butt-ugly and in your face stupid Honda and Nissan Box-o-maticas. I have been telling people about them, but have been unable to find any pictures. Can anyone direct me to, or post some pictures of these newest yuppie-bacon stripe machines, so that I may better be able to take the word to the masses?

Thanks,

OS

Probably because they're almost giving them away.... :

Yeah, the copper color is especially gruesome

I'd go so far to say the Aztec is right up there just under the Edsel as far as automotive blunders.....wait I'm forgetting the Olds Bravada. That shuttered the entire Oldsmobile badge ....... then there was the 80's GM350 diesel debacle.....

Re:Pontiac Aztek is Toast!

Sorta related ... it seems that all the ads for GM trucks I've come across feature only GMC models. I wonder why? Could it possibly be that the Avalanche derived styling of the Chevy versions is . No way :! At the rate GM is going, they're going to 'design' themselves right out of the truck market !
