I have no problem with the "theory of evelotion" being taught. But that is not how it is taught. Look at Georgia for that proof. That is right, no one KNOWS, but there are several theories out there, some religious, some secular, when the truth is most likely a combination of both. What my complaint is that what ever is taught is to the exclusion of religion. No that is not true, it is taught at the exclusion of the Judeo/Christian religions. We are guarenteed "freedom of religion" not "freedom from religion"

A famous HERETIC (Galileo) once said 'when science and the Bible apear to conflict the Bible misinterpreted' He was a devout christian. In more recent times a MUSLIM professed that all good, if any, he has done was so by 'the grace of God' the mistakes were all his own (Macom X) I, personally believe that all humanity has BECOME and ACHIVED is by grace of God, even the parts that we do not understand. The point I am trying to make, or rather the question I am askin is this: Why is the lack of understanding, or knowlede, tend to divide us? One would think that is what we KNOW for certain (or think so) would.

I completely agree. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

I know that you will disagree with me but I believe that is the way it should be. I am 100% behind freedom “of” religion though I personally practice freedom “from” religion. I just personally feel religion shouldn’t be taught in school. Any religion for that matter.

School is a place to learn the skills that will take you through life. Religion is something that I personally feel is something a parent or their church should teach their child. Don’t leave it up to the state to do it. At what point do we stop. How receptive would anyone be letting the state teach your child Buddhism, Hinduism, Satanism, Islam, or any other of the hundreds of religions out there? If we give preference to one don’t we have to give preference to all?

This is just my opinion of course and I’m not trying to hijack the thread. Delete if you need to. Or put it in a new thread.
