Anybody into paintball games? I am going to start a new paintball field here but as I don't know that much about it, am looking for suggestions etc. Most games I have seen appear to be played on big fields with artificial places to hide. As I own about 8 acres of rugged virgin property out in the country, I am wondering about offering a multi-day package for the "real thing". This property has zillions of trees, washouts, a small ravine and more. There are many places to hide and ambush the enemy. I can buy the adjacent properties if a larger area is necessary. Can offer the equipment for rental or sale, maybe a two or three day weekend of games, good Mexican food, tents, sleeping bags etc. There are no showers or toilet facilities there yet, but I can build them quickly at whatever location is necessary. One reason I bought this property is that it is located in an area that very few regulations apply. I can do whatever I want without permits etc. The property is located an hours easy drive out of the city and is at an altitude of 8000 feet.

 

Sounds like you have a good start at what you need. A big seller would be to have a re-fill station set-up handy for refilling CO2 cartridges as well as rental gear, (facemasks, chest protectors, heavy loose fit sweats etc...) A shower facility would be a big plus to get cleaned up for the ride back to the big city. You could also think of advertising for group discounts especially aimed toward corporate groups for advancing team-building skills, or even hit up some of the travel agencies in the city you live near. I did not know that paintballing was making that large of a splash south of the border.....

Thanks Gary for the suggestions. Yes, paintball is the up and coming thing dowh here with many new companies starting up. Have a meeting scheduled this Thursday with Gotcha to see what they can do for me.
