Opinions on Power upgrades for 05 Chevy 5.3l

Hey guys, my Dad has an 05 Suburban. He loves its plush ride and all, but he wants alittle more power. Do any of you guys know of a good programmer for this vehicle?

Thanks

the best performance tune out for the 5.3 is i believe the nelson tune. if you go to nelsonperformance.com i believe you can find what you are lookin for there. its way better than a hypertech or superchips.

I second the nelson. Heard nothing but great things. Also might wanna look into intake, exhaust, and under drive pulley for it. Those are all proven power adders.

Westerns is really good.

If he wants a hand held tuner I would go with a superchips (I have it on my truck, it's pretty good but i got a good deal on it) or a daiblo is really nice, better than the superchips.

Here is an option I would recommend. www.ststurbo.com They make a remote mount turbo that will go on just about anything. I have a friend who put one on his GMC Sierra 4.8L V-8, and it really gets with it. Added about 190 horse to it.

Check these guys out:
http://wait4meperformance.com/

Have him make you an ECM with no torque management. Its really cheap compared to a hypertech or something, and it works much better. Teddy Bear on here has one on his 03 6.0 chevy gasser. Just shoot the guy at wait4me and email and he will let you know what you need.

Is there any turbo lag with having a turbo so far away from the exhaust manifold?
