I think it would have done us ALL a favour to pull that sucker in half , that particular truck has a long history, and it is in ROUGH shape. It started life as a tractor, not sure why it was retired from that , but then it was made into a tandem dump truck, and used in a gravel wash pit. One day the driver was backing up to dump a load of wash into the tailings pond , and forgot to unlatch the tailgate , put the dump up , and flipped the truck over backwards into the pond , just the tires were above the water , they rolled it right side up in the water with an excavator , and used that same wrecker to winch it out ( that wrecker has drug that blue truck around more times than i can remember...) The truck was dried out , cleaned up , and back on the road within a week of being in the pond. Not sure how much longer it stayed in service at the gravel pit , but once it was retired from there , it was sold to a local farmer and became the feed truck as you see it now. It has it share of problems , most of which will never get fixed , I will say that it is a major PITA to put a clutch in , as it has a feed blower on it , which requires moving the air tanks , and it has 2 pto's , and a cross member right behind the tranny.
