Ooops

Saw this in the lot across the road from my house when I got home this afternoon. Took a drive and tried to find the driver , I figure he dropped the trailer for the weekend and went home, I was at least going to let him know before it sunk too far , the pin is almost on the ground now. . The trailer was not there when I left this morning at 6.

Why would you even drop your trailer there. It looks like a big mud field. Although it doesnt look like the truck or the trailer sank going in to there.

I guess that is what all the wood piled across the jack is for, to keep it from sinking to far!!

That is actually a parking lot , trucks used to park there alot , until they put up a sign dis-allowing it, he just parked way out of the way , where it was soft , normally it is not a problem.

The wood piled on the dolly legs is actually for spacing the skids of wood out (the load) so a forklift has a space to get inbetween them while un loading, those little twigs wouldn't stand a chance to holding that up.

Looks like somebody will be having some fun with an excavator/backhoe/wrecker pulling that back up sometime.... Do they plan to unload it there?

Usually takes two wreckers one on either side backed up to the front, they make a sling and lift it and the truck backs up under it and hooks up.

Coming down that far it is probably going to have some damage. Most likely to the suspension, maybe even a twisted frame.

I doubt if it hurt it any, those trailers a built to flex quite a bit. He must have been a newbie, or in a big hurry, or had a emergency. Cant believe he didn't use that dunage to block under his dolly's. Yes if you did it right it would have worked.

I don't see them unloading it here , they will likely get a wrecker in to lift it , but since there is only one in the area , it will probably have to be done with one wrecker. I have seen landing gears collapse when the truck pulled out from under them in that same parking lot, and they lifted it with one wrecker from the side , but i can't remember what was on it for a load.

the driver is back , he is sitting over there in his truck as we speak , so i assume someone will be alone shortly with a solution.

and excavator would never have a hope in this world of lifting that, and you can't dig a hole there to put the truck under it , because it would have to be a fairly large hole to get the truck down far enough , and at the right angle to keep from high pinning the trailer, there is also a water main under there.

Been there, done that. Had to use a Mack with a big Braden winch and a roller fairlead tail to get the trailer out.
