Normal is relative to the company you keep. Around here they throw a pretty wide lasso. Birthday dinner was really good! I've never had a 3" thick pork chop until tonight and I can't wait until the next one. I highly recommend the apple cider marinade and the bubbly. Well, time to sleep now, see you in the morning.

A new week to screw up already ?? What did we do to deserve this bounty ??

Nice quiet morning (like ever other morning ....). Looks like it might be a "walk in the forest" day today. After lunch and a nap ..... and a couple shots of homemade hard applejack to keep the chill off !! (The first batch turned out pretty good ... the raisins got quite a kick to them).

Took a little time to thin out the tomato plants and get some of the dead crap taken care of ... stuck my hand in there to grab some leaves and was greeted by a nice big ol' wood spider. EEEEEYYAAAAAAAHHH ..... God I hate to be surprised like that so early in the morning !! He's now residing in the vacuum cleaner .... sscccchhhhlllooooooopppp !!!

My living room doubles as my garden ... maters and taters !! Kinda nice havin fresh cherry tomatoes in January !!

Have a good un .... and if it's good .. have two !!

Big snow coming! 8-12". Stocked up on firewood (main souce of heat for us below 15F) Good lots of fuel, food, supplies, cable internet. Yup, I'm set!

Time to lock the 4x4 in for a few weeks. Winter is here!

Soooo, snow is fine, but don't lizards know how to make coffee? Where is it? No donuts? Where is the maid? Things are heading downhill fast here. At least we got the thread named OK.

Nuther gorgeous day down here - - heading for 80. Sure wish the plants would slow down growing for a while and let me rest. Heading for church, then out to eat, then maybe wrap up the garage redo - - looking good, but very strange. I walk out of the utility and think I am in the wrong house. Now that it is organized I know I will never find a thing I want - - shudda left it alone.

Gotta go get purdy - - have a gudurn,

Bob

Mornin' all,

Still early here in Houston. Zoo is quiet, wife still sawing logs. Works PT in a tax office for tax season, and has a full load of online college classes along with a full time job. Sheeeech. she busy,
Got cinnimon rolls, donut holes, someone stole the donuts and left the holes and brownies. Breakfast will be pancakes, with the all weather treads, (waffles) bacon and eggs.
Too cloudy to see the comet last night, and rain a lot. Maybe be clear when the cold front moves in tomorrow.
No big projects today yet. Or for the week. Grandkids will be home from school tomorrow, the MLK holiday.

Take care and be safe out there.

YAAAWN!

Got to sleep in this AM... didn't even wake up 'til 10! That's unusual for me, but I'll be back on the 4AM to 11PM schedule tomorrow.

Hey Pistol, could ya send me the recipe for that homemade hard applejack? Sounds like my kinda beverage!

Started buildin' the flat dump body for the new truck yesterday. Got it all framed up, just hafta finish weld it all today. Maybe in another 6 months I'll finally get it done!

Freezin' rain here this AM, about an inch of it on the driveway. S'posed to get 3 to 6 inches of snow tonite and tomorrow. Haven't had much snow all season yet, but now that I gotta drive 60 miles one way to get to class, it's gonna be nasty.

's not bad this AM, but a little weak. Almost as if someone has cleaned the pot with soap again.

Y'all have a good one.

chaikwa.

GOOOOOD MOOORNING D..T..Rrr.......! Man I feel good today! The local forecast is low 70's here today. Boy, what a fluke, but I'll take it. I guess I'll push the Harley out for another ride, might be able to beat the rain. Two cups of MIA from the pot and I'm ready to go. Y'all have a great morning and I'll talk at you in a bit.

chaikwa.

Check your PM's .

Boy .... the house is smellin good tonight. Two big ol baked potatoes sprinkled with garlic salt are cookin' away. Got the real butter, high-fat sour cream and 3 kinds of finely shredded cheese in hot standby !! Thought about adding some chili ... maybe next time.

You can almost feel your chest tighten thinkin about it, eh ?? Eh ... I'll go for a run in the morning to work it off.

Time to heat up a cup of "cheer" ... watch a movie and eat my dinner. Life is good.

Have a great day and an even better evening !!
