I would like to know more about that combo... I have been on some pretty quick "small" boats. My buddy used to own a 24ft HTM cat. with a 575"chevy and a big air to water procharger. Going 135mph feels like 300 on the water!

Here's a neat little jet boat that would run on diesel:

Thats the VH45DE, that motor came in the 90 to 95 Infiniti Q45s, the 1st 16 months of production made 305 hp but got rated @ 278 with a stock redline of 6500, with a reflashed ecu 7200 was normal, 4 cams 32 valves all aluminum, what a heck of a motor with some boost, man I miss that car in the vid the car was left in drive so it shifts at around 6400, when you held the gear yourself
7200 was it.

Here is a quick vid of the Q on the dyno, http://q.spilky.com/1qckdyno1.wmv

I have two funny observations:
1) I think if I had a boat capable of that speed I would get a helmet without duct tape.

2) He has a ski pylon on the back of that thing!!!!!!

Ya I saw that too and kindof laughed ... Probably a nice flat wake for slalom skiing though ...

I, well my families (I operate/ maintain), has an Mastercraft X-30 with a LTR 330hp in the back with a 1:1 V drive configuartion... That boat is all about holeshot though. 14.5" 4 blade brass prop, all about getting my butt out of the water in a hurry... Top speed is only like 55mph!! But it will get there in a hurry figure 3000lb boat and 1500lb of water ballast and then all of our crap and people.... Needs some get up and go!!

I have an '87 ProStar 190 (351, 1:1 Powerslot w/ 14X14 3 blade) Probably looks pretty much like a Ford Escort next to a 70K dollar wakeboard boat

I can yoke 5 people no problem. Top speed you say? How's 46 MPH sound?
It doesn't go fast, but if you aren't ready you'll be picking yourself up off the floor in the back when I take off

Good times, good times.........
