New toy

My son and I have been talking for a while and finally did it, we both bought one of these.

No, it's not a Hog and as much as I dislike foreign materials, it's all either one of us could afford at this time. Maybe we can move up later on but for now, we are enjoying the cruise.

Nothing wrong with a Yamaha.. I just got one too. My previous street bikes have all been sport bikes. What a difference.. I might be able to hit 80mph going down hill with the wind behind me .

It'll be a good bike for my wife to learn and give me a chance to ride on dirt.

Congrats on the new toy and be safe.

Just in case your interested, here's a link about breaking in the engine. Not advising you to go this route, just interesting reading.

Cool, good reading. I never have been much for running anything easy after it's warmed up anyway.

Nice bikes, I've got one too. Mines an '02 and has been customized quite a bit. You're gonna love the V Star, they're great bikes!!! I'll post a pic of mine, as soon as it gets approved in my gallery. Which color did you get?? My brother in law is going to pick up his 2007 V Star 1100 Classic that is the Black Cherry Color tomorrow.
