New Challenger or used Viper?

Selling my 02 custom because I just never drive it. But I cant decide what to buy after I sell it. I've always wanted an 01-02 graphite rt10, but after driving an 09 srt8 6-speed, Im torn between what to get, Ive gotten opinions on both, it seems the married and/or older guys pick the challenger and the younger and/or single guys pick viper. Pricewise they are about the same at 43k. The challenger handles better and ergonomically is much nicer, the viper has the pure, stuff you in your seat, smoke the tires in 3 gears, v10 raw power and the obvious "its a viper" looks. But maintenance and accessories for the viper are pricey where I could make just as much power with the challenger with some basic modifications. I can't decide. Opinions? Im newly single btw.

I voted Challenger, I love the Viper but the retro look of the Challenger and back seats makes it more of a every day driver.... my 2 cents

I voted for the Viper. Its different, not just another car Chrysler stuffed the 6.1 V8 into. I've always thought the V10 was a cool engine that sounds downright wicked. Plus I've seen some boosted Vipers on youtube that make me all giddy inside haha. JMO, its your money dude.

You are going to put all that money into the Challenger to make it as powerful as the Viper stock. The Viper is strong out of the box but has potential for SOOOO much more. The Viper also has brakes and suspension to match the HP, its more of a complete package.

I am going to have to go with the 09 srt 8 challenger. The viper is a sweet and stout unit but the retro look of the challenger is awesome. My other reason is people expect things from the viper such as speed (and the attraction of pd) but the challenger has a more low profile look. In the end I don't think you will be disappointed with either one.

i say viper, with a few engine add-ons 700 hp is easy. have seen videos on you tube of 1700 HP street legal vipers doing 150+ mph in the 1/4 mile .... just insane

Consider depreciation . Challengers are overpriced and will depreciate . Hang on to a Viper long enough and it will return your investment .

I'd go for the viper ...... won't be long until there is a challenger in every driveway (just like ram trucks are now).

Decisions, decisions ...... sure is nice to have options .

Cheers,

If it's a daily driver I say the Challenger. If for fun only get the Viper.

If you have money to burn get the Challenger and send it to Hennessey here in Texas. He can make'em go fast, and Vipers too.

I would say Challenger for a daily driver. This Viper is tempting: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...8&rdpage=thumb

I personally prefer the rawness of a viper over the classic styling of the challenger.

Had to vote for the Challenger, but only because you said RT10. I am more of a SRT guy.

Want to be sick? My dealer buddy just sold a 95 RT10 for 30K, it was a perfect Black car with 11K known miles..... thing is going to Switzerland.

If you like the looks of the RT10, then there is only one choice, the Viper.

I wanted to vote challenger, but couldn't bring myself to do so. I fear that the challenger is going to be just like mustangs and camaros and there will be one in nearly every driveway, whereas with the viper you will be one of a select few as most people don't see one of them everyday. Plus it's just raw and mean looking. Whatever you buy have fun and be as careful as your right foot will allow.

EVO X MR - will run circles around both.

I'm not trying to be a jerk - but those cars are fun and there is so much you can do to them.

The fastest paddle shifting system in the world.

Oh, and proof:
