Another thing to do, is download Garmin's webupdater. Hook the unit up to your PC after you have installed it, then launch the webupdater. If there are any firmware releases for your unit, you can install them from there. You can also select different icons if you don't like the triangle.

NOTE: The webupdater WILL NOT update the maps, those ya' gotta pay for when they come out. Make sure your unit has the 2009 maps on it. If it doesn't, there should be a coupon to update it for free.
