network video server? live webcam?

anyone here familiar with stand alone IP network video servers? I am looking at getting this one:
Express 6
I want to set up webcams around my home and be able to log on to the internet and see live video of what is going on in my yard at any time, and be able to use a DVR to record images when I am not awake or around a computer or busy doing other stuff like working haha. does anyone have anything like this that can comment if you like it or not? maybe you have a different brand or something similar?

I know someone who installed a simliar system in a Bar they own, but have no real feedback for you other than it works for them. They spend time at their beach house in O.C, Maryland and still keep tabs on the theiving employees.
Care to fill us in on why you want a running record of what goes on at the house?
(just curious).

Not sure how many cams you need. I wanted one for my house and purchased the D-Link 5300W. Wireless, emails pics during movement, etc. Works great for my needs...

DLink 5300

The D-link I got would probably do the job. Mine was a bit pricey, but they do have other models. You may want to review them.
