My Buddy came over to the Dark side

Well today my friend of many years did it he traded a very nice 91.5 5spd 12v, for 2001 HO reg cab with a 6spd. I'm so proud of him. For a year he has been debating on a Dmax or a 24v cummins, and he finally listened to me.. But the sad part is he wont do any mods to it.

He traded his first gen?
Thats to bad.
My mechanic that helps me with any real big jobs on my 1st gen also has a 92 Club Cab first gen and a 2005 CTD and he says he'll sell the 05 long before the 1st gen. A year ago he ALMOST sold his first gen for 13,500 but he backed out cause he couldn't bare to give it up. He says that you cant beat the reliability and simplicity of 1st gens.

Congrats on your friends "upgrade" though

I have a buddy that's a die hard Ford fan. He just bought a farm in Georgia and needed a new truck. After riding around in mine for awhile and doing some of his own research he's come to the conclusion that the Cummins is the only way to go.

Man, why would anybody with any 12 valve buy a VP-44 equipped truck? He's gonna regret selling that 1st gen sooner or later...
