ok guys i know i read this somewhere tried search. sometime in the last year i read that some of our boys fighting when wounded were being charged for part of their hospital bills. dont know if it was on this board or not. i am old and senile but i aint gone yet. this is one of the few boards that i frequent. need help from any one that has seen this

I believe it is meals. We receive an allowance for meals, so when the government provides us meals, we are "charged" that portion of our meal allowance.
I think the bad press caused the military to change that particular quirk in the rules so it doesn't happen any longer.

I got something really fuzzy floating around in the back of my mind about this. The guys were getting wounded and charged for meals while in the hospital maybe? Can't remember, been a while.
